In Slovakia, in the village of Nosice, there is a wooden modern cottage, and the most interesting thing about this story is its location. It lies in the immediate vicinity of the client's residence in the small Slovak village of Nosice. Since the client commutes to Bratislava for work, he and the architect Pavol Pokorný from the Bratislava office Pokorny Architekti came to the conclusion that it would be easiest and most elegant to set up a weekend house right in the village.
Architect Pavol Pokorný took into account the client's wishes for traditional Slovak wooden house somewhere in the mountains of central Slovakia, and that's how it was created asymmetrical wooden contemporary weekender in two upper levels, during which this natural material moves from the outside to the inside, where it embraces the walls and floor. It offers comfort with a living room and kitchen, a dining room, a rooftop atrium, a wellness area and two large bedrooms on the top floor. Modern weekend is designed as low-energy, and the main source of heating is floor heating with the additional option of electric heating. 130 square meters large modern weekend was completed in 2011.
Architectural office Pokorny Architects is the Slovakian bureau in which they create Pavol Pokorný and a junior architect Katarína Škodová. When necessary, they are joined by external collaborators on projects.
