Enter a Slovenian fairy tale! This is Planina pri Jezero.
Mountain at the Lake is an excellent excursion point both for families and for those who are not expert or regular hikers. From the parking lot to this beautiful plains with a lake you will have about an hour's walk along a not too steep and mostly forest path, which is well marked.
When you arrive at your destination, this beauty awaits you - a plain, a lake surrounded by dark green spruce forests, a few shepherd's huts that you can rent, and also a larger cabin where you can have refreshments or sleep. You can relax by the lake, in it also refresh (in summer it can be 24 degrees Celsius) and sunbathe if you wish.
If you have the energy, will and desire, you can go for a walk around the lake, or you can from here you can also continue your journey along various hiking trails, if you want all the way to the Valley of the Seven Lakes. This will take you a good two hours!
The mountain near Jezero is therefore a great idea for a one- or two-day trip, where you can explore this wonderful piece of the Slovenian highlands. So tell me if Slovenia is not a single fairy tale...
