Music news of the week #13/2015

This time's musical innovations really bring freshness, as some bands have only been on the scene for a short time and are therefore less known. But it's time to get to know them better, right?

LION BABE – WONDER WOMAN

New York-UK outfit Lion Babe, consisting of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, have released the official music video for their upcoming Pharrell Williams-assisted single Wonder Woman. The single will be available for purchase and download from the Internet from May 4, 2015 onwards.

BALTHAZAR – THE BUNKER

The Belgian pop band Balthazar presents a video for the track Bunker, directed by Tom Willems. The new single, which follows the previous one entitled Then What, can also be heard on the fresh album Thin Walls, released on March 30, 2015.

MODEST MOUSE – LAMPSHADES ON FIRE

The American rock band, which was formed way back in 1993, served up a new single and video clip, Lampshades on Fire. The track can be found at number two on the 15-track album Strangers to Ourselves, released on March 13, 2015.

THE VAN JETS – TWO TIDES OF ICE

Get ready for a trip to Belgium and the Netherlands, where the Belgian rock band The Van Jets is coming in the coming days, and as a warm-up before their live concerts, they have released a musical novelty called Two Tides of Ice. Here is her video accompaniment as well.

NOTHING BUT THIEVES – ITCH

Newcomers Nothing But Thievs do things their own way, and that's why the fresh-as-hot-buns new releases are the most surprising. In their music, you can feel the earlier sounds of the band Muse, a touch of Radiohead and the vocal memory of the late Jeff Buxkley. Judge for yourself. Here is their piece Itch, which will be found on their short album Graveyard Whistling, which will be released on July 21, 2015.
