Every day, National Geographic serves us incredible photos from around the world. At the end of 2015, they selected the 20 most popular photos of the year from their Photo of the Day pool (every day they choose one of the photos they receive that meets their criteria). Some of them are classic, others are unusual, but they are always photos with a story. Rankings were measured by likes, social media shares and other online reactions. And the following selection was made.
National Geographic has been considered for almost 130 years synonymous with the best photos of our planet. At the end of 2015, they published a series of photos they received as part of the category Photo of the day, the "critical eye" for breaking through among the best was not the commission this time, but rather number of likes, shares and reactions to photography online in general.
