Don't EVER travel there: the most dangerous countries for 2020

A new interactive map has revealed which are the most dangerous countries in the world for 2020.

This year's interactive map, which was created by the organization International SOS, a global risk expert, ranks the security of countries according to three criteria: medical safety, general safety and road safety. According to the assessed level of security, countries are classified into one of five classes: from "insignificant" security risk to "extreme" security risk.

This year they were like "extremely risky" the following countries are recognized:

  • Small
  • Somalia
  • South Sudan
  • Central African Republic
  • Yemen
  • Libya
  • Syria
  • Iraq

They are in these countries government control and peace in larger areas minimal or they don't even exist. They exist threats of violent attacks by armed groups, transport services are below average or barely functional, and large areas of the country are inaccessible to foreigners.

On the other hand, many Nordic countries were ranked to the class with the lowest level of risk; they included among these Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Denmark. They were also ranked among the safest Switzerland, Luxembourg and Slovenia, which is ranked 8th among the safest countries in the world. In these countries, according to International SOS, violent crime rates are very low, and there is no major political violence or civil unrest. The security and emergency services are efficient and the infrastructure is reliable. Transportation services are at a high level.

Most European countries (with the exception of Kosovo) are in the category of countries with a low to medium health risk.

According to the level of road safety, they were identified as the most risky Vietnam, Thailand, Belize, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Namibia and many other African countries. The least risky countries are Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Egypt.

International SOS advises travelers to get as much information as possible before the trip using resources like this map. They also emphasize that travelers should also turn to other sources for advice - they should check travel websites, and they should also address their questions to others tourist organizations.
