The new Peugeot 208 heralds huge innovations in its class and a strong vision for the future. From the beginning, it will also be available in the electric version of the e-208 with an autonomy of around 280 real kilometers and, of course, a bunch of assistance systems with which the car will drive semi-autonomously.
New Peugeot 208 was always considered one of those representatives of his urban type who was bold enough to conquer the hearts of young women. In this generation, however, he is a little more daring and wants to predict future trends for the entire B segment. the new Peugeot 208 it is not just another novelty, but rather a pace setter in its segment.
The PEUGEOT brand, based on its 208-year history, with Peugeot 208 today he enters carelessly and concretely in the era of energy transition and offers us an exciting and compelling vision of the future: #UNBORINGTHEFUTURE. To put it simply: a brand new model Peugeot 208 takes the boldest and bravest steps at a time when mobility is truly changing at high speed. Also with the fact that it will practically be the first manufacturer to offer 100 % electric drives in its engine range from the very beginning of production.
The design of the new Peugeot 208 car combines elements of what has already been seen at models 3008 and 508, but it carries the story a bit more futuristic and to the taste of the young. Especially in the front part, you will immediately recognize the recent one 508 model introduced, where the arc of light flourishes. But we have to admit that we especially like the rear of the little one, which works compactly and is simply different enough that you will not confuse this car with anything else on the road.
New Peugeot 208 but he will also be bold when choosing colors, because a special color palette is available just for him, from metallic yellow (Faro), to three-layer blue (Vertigo), or a special red (Elexir).
The story inside follows the outside or rather, at most, it upgrades it. My little one has an extremely futuristic Peugeot i-Cockpit, to put it bluntly, dashboard, which rises in three levels. The special feature is the driving data display, which can be a hologram projection of more important data, which should shorten the driver's response time by up to half a second in critical situations. Exceptional attention is also paid to the materials, which are carefully selected and pleasant to the touch and of high quality. With higher equipment levels, a dashboard with foam padding and carbon accessories is available.
New Peugeot 208 will be available with five trim levels: Access, Active, Allure, GT Line and GT, whereby will be a GT expert already offered sweets in the basic version and without extra charge. These are, for example, Full LED headlights, decorative trims of the mudguards and wiper profiles in lacquered black, 17-inch diamond-cut aluminum wheels with decorative inserts, a passenger compartment with precise details such as, roof lining in black, decorative seams in in Adamite color, a selection of eight colors for ambient lighting, dynamic seats and a set of pedals in aluminum.
Safety and assistance systems are at the fore, because New Peugeot 208 offers adaptive cruise control with the Stop & Go function for automatic transmission, lane keeping assistance, Full Park Assist - fully autonomous parking in all positions, automatic emergency braking of the latest generation, active lane departure warning, automatic high beam switching, speed limit and recommended speed sign recognition and active blind spot monitoring system.
Peugeot will be officially presented in the next few days as part of the Geneva Motor Show. We expect it from Slovenian traders in the first autumn days.
