Volkswagen will unveil the off-road-inspired Passat alltrack in Geneva, which will get the expected off-road capability, greater ground clearance and the always standard 4motion drive. If you pay more attention, you will notice slightly different roof racks and a line of alloy wheels, which can measure from 17 to 19 inches in the alltrack. Regardless of the motorization, which will be surprisingly wide, it will be powerful 4motion drive always part of the standard equipment, and customers will be able to choose between two petrol TSI engines of size 1.4- and 2.0 liters and a power of 110 and 162 kW, respectively, and three versions of the 2.0-liter TDI unit on the diesel side, capable of 110 , 140 and 176 kW respectively. Depending on the version, a six-speed manual transmission or DSG automatic transmission with double clutch.

It will also be among the standard equipment of the most powerful engines on both poles XDS+ system, which takes care of even better wheel grip in turns, by transferring torque from the wheel with enough to the wheel with insufficient grip. All versions, in addition to the already standard system of variable driving dynamics, will also have power "off road" function.

The off-road version of the Passat should soon find its way after the Geneva premiere to salons and otherwise you can expect it there the end of September.
