Volkswagen shipped its 30 millionth Passat to the world this year, making it the second best-selling Volkswagen in history (right after the Golf and before the Beetle). The first generation of one of the most iconic models in their fleet hit the market back in 1972, and today we are witnessing the eighth.
The first novelties you will notice on the updated Passat for 2020, are stock LED front and rear lights, updated bumpers, a choice of new rims, a new steering wheel borrowed from T-Cross, and on the back you will find a large inscription "Passat" modeled after the design guidelines of the entire concern. All aggregates are available with premium 7-speed DSG gearbox. The diesels also have two new catalytic converters with Adblue technology, which are said to reduced emissions by up to 80 percent.
Quality and materials in the cabin Passat they are good and give quite a premium feel. A new touch infotainment system in combination with digital driver instruments gives the driver more information and easier control over the vehicle. A few decorative elements have also been updated, and the central clock has now been replaced by an inscription Passat. The luggage compartment has not changed and it offers in the sedan 586 liters, and for the station wagon 650 liter capacity.
