Those of you who remember the movie Das Boot probably shudder slightly at the thought of a submarine. Lots of tension, not enough space and lots of problems. But a ride on this seagoing vessel doesn't have to be always unpleasant. Well, at least that's what it seems when we get to know the Neyk submarine better. For those of you who don't want to dive, but are still tempted by the underwater world.
For Neyk they say it is a new generation of submarines, which will be assembled according to the specifications Dutch of the Royal Navy and On ourselves. Ocean Submarines they also invited to participate Rolls-Royce, Bosch and MTU and announced that the days of passenger ships are numbered. In the company of 11 other passengers, you will 19-meter Neyk can sink just 300 m in depth and sailing at speed 15 knots.
The electric motors, which are mounted on the sides, are said to make extremely little noise. The bow of the vessel will be able to transform into a 270-degree observation deck from which you can enjoy a view of the world below the surface.
