The Slovenian youth film Nika, directed by Slobodan Maksimović, will have its world premiere at the International Children's and Youth Film Festival in Zlin, which will take place from May 27 to June 3, 2016, and the action film, which deals with the theme of karting, is coming to Slovenia in October 2016.
Slovenian youth film Nika he first travels to the Czech Republic (Zlin), as he will appear there in the competition program, where he will compete with the films About Scout, In Your Dremas!, The Pitch, The Idol, Keeper, Learn by Heart and Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass. Youth action drama directed by Slobodan Maksimović, which was filmed entirely on the Slovenian coast in 28 filming days, will have its Slovenian premiere also on our coast, namely October 20, 2016 as part of the Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož.

Nika's film, which is after his debut Thanks for Sunderland from 2012, the second film by Slobodan Maksimović, tells the story of an up-and-coming teenager, Nika, who inherited from her father passion for speed or go-karting, although this one was fatal for him. Her mother does not agree with her (steel) horse, but at the same time she realizes that her daughter is old enough to start making her own decisions and take responsibility for them. "Visually attractive scenes of go-kart driving they are the backdrop for the universal a story of loss, love, growing up and finding the right path.” announcements about the movie Nika are being read. It is one of the few films that deals with the subject of karting, a rare sport where men and women compete against each other.
He plays Niko in the film Ylenia Mahnič, a student of Koper Gymnasium, who tried her hand at acting for the first time. She empathized with her actress mother Marjuta Slamič, to the father Sebastian Cavazza (father), Benjamin Krnetić but he plays her crush. The film also features other well-known domestic names such as Borut Veselko, Gojmir Lešnjak Gojc and Gašper Tič. The specialty of the film is not only the theme, but also the music.
