The Nikon Coolpix P1000 boasts a 125x lens zoom

Camera manufacturers are constantly competing with each other for supremacy. The winner of the week in the photography industry was Nikon, which achieved something unique with the new Coolpix P1000 model.

P1000 is the successor of the Nikon camera P900, which boasts an 83x lens magnification. The new device has significantly surpassed its predecessor, as it offers just 125x magnification, which can be described as the largest ever.

A camera that can switch between apertures f/2.8 and f/8, contains a sensor with resolution 16MP. It weighs P1000 1.4 kg, but it was designed for special cases when the user needs as large a ratio as possible between the size of the image and the size of the object. It will come in handy especially for photographers who want to capture scenes from nature and space in their lens. For this reason, there will also be ways for users to bird watching and photographing the moon.

The camera is capable of creating high resolution videos 4K and with frequency 30 frames per second. At the same time it includes OLED electronic viewfinder and supports creating photos in the format RAW. It uses the Nikon system to transfer images to other devices SnapBridge Bluetooth.

The camera, which will be available to customers in September, is priced at 999 dollars, which translates to 853 euros. For now, it is not yet known how much will have to be paid for it in Slovenia.
