From Nova Gorica it is only a few turns or kilometers and you're already in a very special landscape - Brda invites you among its hills to full cellars, where lovers of noble drops can take a breather among oak barrels. On the other side, the Karst awaits you with open arms - there's no doubt you won't come across a figure eight and treat yourself to a few slices of prosciutto and drops of teran. The Soška Valley, especially in the vicinity of Bovec, invites you with adrenaline experiences - kayaking, adrenaline parks, skiing on Kanin in the winter, canyoning, rafting or simply walking through places full of natural beauty.

BEAUTIFUL NATURE INVITES
Nova Gorica can also be an excellent starting point for lovers of excursions and especially nature and natural attractions. The colorfulness and pristine nature of the Soča Valley with its treasures of pristine nature is priceless. The local tourist information center is richly stocked with brochures on walking routes, footpaths, wine roads and shorter or longer excursion tours - something for everyone!

HOW TO GET THERE?
You can go to Nova Gorica from Ljubljana in different ways. If you are a fan of fast driving without stops, the journey on the highway will take you just over an hour. When you are on the highway towards Primorska, take the Nanos exit and continue your journey after Rebrnice from Podnanos on the expressway towards Nova Gorica. A little on local roads and a little on the highway, the route takes you past Postojna. When you leave the highway at the Postojna exit, you continue your journey via Vipava, Ajdovščina, Šempas and Ajševica. For those of you who love driving in nature, you will leave the highway in Logatec and continue driving through Godovič, over Črni Vrh and Ajdovščina, where you can choose whether to continue your journey to Nova Gorica on the highway or past local towns. The fourth route is the longest and is suitable for those who are not in a hurry and like to have a rest and a stop on the way. It leads you from Ljubljana to Škofja Loka, from there via Železniki and Podbrdo and via Most na Soča, Tolmin and Kobarid to Nova Gorica.
