Now it's official: Sex and the City is back

After many false alarms and rumors, the cult series Sex in the Flesh is returning after almost 16 years. The series will be broadcast on HBO Max, where a special "reboot" will be released with ten episodes, which will focus on a new chapter in the lives of the friends in their mature years.

As expected, the foursome will not be in full formation: Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have returned, but not as well Kim Cattrall, which we could admire in the role of genius Samantha. Cattrall reportedly skipped new episodes due to disagreements with Sarah Jessica Parker.

Series Sex in the city will consist of ten half-hour episodes, and filming will begin in the spring in New York. SJP, Davis and Nixon shared the news in the form of a teaser on their Instagram profiles. A short video shows footage of New York, followed by a word screen "And just like that... the story continues"(And just like that… the story continues) in typical Carrie style.

The original series was created by Darren Star based on the book by Candace Bushnell, and we could watch it on the small screen from 1998 to 2004.

HBO Max is thus preparing another nostalgic "reebot" - the same giant of streaming content is working on new versions of Opravljivka and Prava krvo. The expectations of all of us who grew up with the series that marked our lives are high, as is the hope that the "reboot" will be better than the two sequels (read: movies) released in 2008 and 2010.
