Cats are medicine for the soul and body: they transmit love, soothe and heal by purring!

If you're thinking about which animal you want as a pet, here are reasons why it should be a beautiful, cuddly cat.

People are definitely divided into dog lovers and cat lovers. Since these two types of animals are in "dispute", it is the same with people: those who love dogs will emphasize their kindness and loyalty, while cats will be characterized as evil and arrogant; and people who like cats will say that they are loving and gentle, while dogs are mischievous and noisy.

There's no denying the fact that cats are lazy—they can snooze in a corner all day (however, did you know that a seven-year-old cat sleeps for an average of five years?) and only come out when they're hungry. They can also be conceited, and if you want to play with her or pet her, but she doesn't love herself - forget it. You must respect her freedom of choice. Of course she won't respect yours. But what if it's 5:00 in the morning and you're sleeping? Then she meows loudly and walks around the house, so just get up, open the door for her to roam her territory, and then let her back into the room. Oh, is that a pillow for your head? No, this is her place to sleep!

A beautiful, cute cat…

And so there are many anecdotes about these furry wonders. But somehow you can't help but love them and find all this behavior cute. And when you see her washing herself, getting into the best possible sleeping position as she curls around your legs and caresses you with her soft fur because she's hungry, you can't help but spoil her, "because she is scaly, furry and fluffy, she is the most beautiful!"

And now let's see what science says. French vet Jean-Yves Gaucher came to the conclusion that the purring of a cat has medicinal properties because calms and solves problems with stress, anxiety and insomnia. The sound of purring affects a person like gentle music that relaxes the nerves and promotes good mood. Cuddling with a cat also has therapeutic properties – it soothes, relaxes and cheers up, but it can also soften emotional imperfection, especially in people who do not have children.

Family members who have a pet are more connected to each other, that's why conflicts can be resolved more easily. They also noticed that recovery after hospital treatment is much faster with the presence of a cat or dog, as well as that animals have a positive effect on the immune system and prevent many diseases. In fact, all the effectiveness of cats lies primarily in the positive feelings they encourage in their owners, because beautiful thoughts mean a beautiful life! So if health isn't reason enough to have a cat, then we don't know what is!

A cat's purr has healing properties, as it calms and solves problems with stress, anxiety and insomnia.

By the way, did you know that…

  • the cat's hearing apparatus is so developed that it can distinguish two identical sound sources half a meter apart at a distance of twenty meters;
  • cats' whiskers first serve as an assessment of the situation, whether they can pass through a certain opening - the opening through which the cat's head passes is sufficient for its entire body to pass through;
  • when drinking liquid, a cat's tongue enters the oral cavity from the bottom, unlike, say, a dog's;
  • just like humans, all cats are divided into left-handed and right-handed; of all the animals in the world, only giraffes, camels and cats walk with both their left and right feet
  • a cat very rarely meows in communication with another cat, this way of advertising cats is used only with humans;
  • cats can distinguish blue, green and red colors;
  • in proportion to the size of the head and body, cats have the largest eyes of all mammals;
  • cats have a great ability to learn and remember, which they use mainly for information that is useful to them;
  • the cat's sense of taste does not recognize sugar and does not enjoy sweets;
  • the sliding door for cats who want an hour out, an hour in, invented by Isaac Newton;
  • in Italy, February 17th is Cat Day (it is the nation's favorite domestic animal).

As you can see, there are many things about these animals that are special and therefore deserve all your love and respect. If you don't have this pet yet, what are you waiting for?
