The designation GSE, or ʺGrand Sport Einspritzungʺ, was reserved for the sportiest Opel cars. Now this designation will take on a new meaning, and the first model with the new GSe abbreviation, Grand Sport Electric, is the new Opel Astra GSe, which will be available with a chopped rear end or as a station wagon.
New Opel Astra GSe powered by a plug-in hybrid, with total power 165 kW, respectively 225 horsepower and 360 newton meters of torque. They participate in this 1.6 liter gasoline engine, electric motor, battery with capacity 12.4 kW and 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.
Compared to the regular Astra, the GSe model is for 10 mm closer to the ground, has a refined suspension, a more direct steering mechanism and a new 18-inch rims that come from the Manta GSe concept car. The exterior image has also been slightly changed, which is a little more aggressive, and the interior is served with sports seats that are covered in alcantara and available exclusively for the GSe model.
