In the Ljubljana National Gallery, from January 15 to April 5, 2015, we will be able to rest our eyes on the exhibition of French Impressionists entitled Painting in Normandy.
Normandy in the north of France is a country that did not get its name for nothing "muse of painters". Many French artists took refuge in the beauty of its coast from the cities, who in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century created there within the framework of the movement impressionism.

At the exhibition Painting in Normandy (At the Sources of Impressionism) will be in Ljubljana National Gallery from January 15 to April 5, selected paintings from the collection established in 1992 by the Provincial Council of Lower Normandy will be presented, and at the same time works of Slovenian painter Jurij Šubica, who painted his most famous picture before the hunt in Normandy.
In 2015, we will thus be able to rest our eyes on 72 lyrical paintings by the great names of French impressionist painting, among which Gustav Courbet, Pierre Bonard, J.-B. Camille Corot and Claude Monet. The exhibition will be on view in cooperation with the French Institute in Slovenia.
