A self-service beer wall has come to life in Plac in Ljubljana, which gives the drinker complete control over the pouring of beer. "Your pipe, your beer" is their motto. It is the first beer wall of its kind not only in Slovenia, but in the entire Balkans.

How does a beer wall work?
You can use the beer wall with a value card, which you buy at the bar and fill with the desired amount of money. At the same time you also get a glass and the card you pay for bail (3 euros), which is returned to you when you return the card and the glass. You can also keep a glass with the Placa logo as a souvenir for 2.5 euros. The system works by placing the card on the screen, which will detect how much credit you have left. They are described on the screens all beers, which are currently available. Once the screen reads your credit, you can start pouring beer from the tap. At that there are no restrictions, there is no minimum or maximum amount of beer on tap. You can pour less than a deciliter of beer or fill the glass to the top.
