The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS represents one of the best combinations of a powerful engine, surgically precise chassis and compact agile chassis.

The essence of the new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS it's in his engine, of course. It drives him 4.0 liter atmospheric 6-cylinder with 500 horsepower and 449 Nm of torque rotating to 9.000 revolutions per minute. The engine is already known, as it is taken from the 911 GT3 model, in which it has slightly more horsepower and slightly more torque. If we compare the engine found in the Cayman GT4 model, we quickly realize that it is not taken from the 911 GT3 model, it has "only" 420 horsepower and spins "only" up to 8,000 revolutions per minute.

Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS he's damn fast. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h it only lasts 3.4 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds faster than the Cayman GT4 model. The speedometer on the Cayman GT4 RS stops at 315 km/h. For a lap around the popular German race track Nürburgring, it needs 7 minutes and 4.5 seconds and it is almost 24 seconds faster than its "weaker" rival and only a few seconds slower than the mighty 911 GT3.

In addition to the engine, weight is also important for achieving dizzying speeds. Porsche engineers managed to "slim down" the Cayman GT4 RS by 35 kilograms. Thanks mainly to carbon fiber, a light rear window and lighter doors, the result is a sports car that weighs everything 1,464 kilograms. If you translate that into a weight-to-power ratio, it would mean that each ʺhorseʺ of the Cayman GT4 RS has to carry just under 3 kilograms of weight. All of the Cayman's power would be for nothing if it wasn't effectively channeled to the wheels and consequently to the road. The GT4 RS is only available with 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that transfers power to the last one couple wheels. Compared to the Cayman GT4, it sits a little closer to the road and has an adaptive, sport-tuned chassis. This is also the first time that you will find wheels with centrally nut.

Additional aerodynamics are ensured by the bulky rear air deflector, which is also an obvious design difference with the Cayman GT4 model. In addition to the rear spoiler, the car is full of other aerodynamic accessories that provide for 25% greater force (again the Cayman GT4 for comparison) pulling the car to the ground. For buyers of the toxic Porsche Cayman GT4 RS, they are at Porsche Design even produced wristwatches inspired by them form and capacity the fastest among the Caymans.
