We are going back to the time of the 1930s, when cigar-like racing cars were awarded after the races for the big prizes. Without modern safety and other technology, racing was anything but a joke. Infiniti also remembered the era of these famous and above all brave men and produced the Prototype 9 retro racing car.
Infiniti he has no racing past with a pedigree dating back to the 1930s. He can't even have it, since the company was founded in 1989. But still, they were responsible brilliant idea. They imagined what it would be like if, say, 70 years from now they found a car in a barn that combines traditional handwork and modern technology. The fruit of this idea is Infiniti Prototype 9, which illustrates the essence of Japanese culture - an acceptance of the modern world that leans heavily on the traditions and values of the old of Japan.
Old meets new, where the hand-forged body meets the laser-cut frame of the Prototype 9. And the drivetrain is completely modern, too. It drives him electric motor with 148 horsepower. It doesn't sound like much, but when you consider that the car weighs only 890 kilograms, only needs a racing car 5.5 seconds, so that the number 100 appears on the speedometer. And if we add to this the narrow tires, leaf suspension and rigid axles, we already feel like racers from a bygone era of history.
