The PlayStation 5 - PS5 - is here, and we wonder if it's worth the next-gen hype.
Sony has officially launched at its web event PlayStation 5. A named event Future of Gaming for PS5 has fully revealed what it will look like PlayStation 5 and gave us all the details about the next-gen console. The console we've all been waiting for so hard.
PlayStation 4 is now seven years old and although the console also has its own updated version PS4 Pro, which boasts 4K-graphics and massive processors, but slowly it was time for Sony to present a new one. At Sony they hope it will be right PlayStation 5 attracted a new generation of players and maintained the cult status of this device.
So what can we expect from the new console?
Sony PlayStation 5 it's a far cry from the darkened rectangle of the upcoming Xbox and features a striking futuristic design with white sides and a black core, a similar design language continues with the DualSense gamepad. It can stand vertically or horizontally, which is great because it will be a real fashion addition to your living room. Inside, it is powered by an octa-core processor AMD Zen 2 and custom graphics processor AMD RDNA 2. The chips will provide up to 10.28 teraflops of power, while the onboard SSD will offer 825GB of storage space and 5.5GB/s of fast download and read performance. The PS5 will support 8K graphics, 4K graphics at 120Hz refresh rate and 3D audio, and will be available with and without an Ultra 4K Blu-Ray drive.
There will also be a headset, remote control and DualSense controller, and of course new or adapted PS5 game releases. Sony hasn't talked about the price yet, but we know it will go on sale for this year's New Year's holiday.
