The Hyundai Santa Fee has been a fixture on European roads since 2001 and is also one of the most successful representatives of the D - SUV segment. After the presentation of the last generation in 2018, Hyundai is not only refreshing this time, but thoroughly renovating its bestseller after just over two years. At the same time, it places it on a completely new platform that will enable hybridization and electrification.
Hyundai Santa Fe is the selling point of the global manufacturer, and since times force manufacturers to take bigger steps and more thorough changes to powertrains, the new generation is placed on a new platform that will allow hybridization and electrification. So there is a lot of new under the sheet metal, or rather, practically everything is new compared to the current generation.
Of course, the exterior has been changed, where it will be for the model year 2021 Santa Fe got a wider and bolder front grille. Split headlights have a new look and include redesigned T-shaped LED daytime running lights. Overall, the car has undergone a so-called design "ironing" and updating. Including 20” rims that are newly designed.
Hyundai is somewhat still hiding the vehicle's technical specifications and numbers. But we know that they have done a lot in the interior, also with the aim of gaining space in the back of the vehicle and the interior itself. The latter underwent minor changes to the center console, but the car is not drastically different. For example, the drive mode selector is noticeable, which was not previously offered in this form by the Santa Fe. The counters are also digitized, which is an "upgrade" compared to the previous generation.
Hyundai Santa Fe in 2021 will go on sale in Europe this September, with engine details to be revealed closer to its launch.
