It's extremely hard to believe, but the Range Rover luxury brand has been around for half a century. It was first introduced on June 17, 1970. The concept is quite simple. 4x4 SUV intended for gentlemen and hunters, rich families from cities with country homes. And the need for a luxury off-road carriage. Thus, the Range Rover was designed as a more comfortable and luxurious alternative to the off-road models of the Land Rover brand. Not much has changed in the last 50 years, so the company decided to offer a limited edition Range Rover Fifty, which commemorates the venerable anniversary of this prestigious brand.
Range Rover would start a revolution that would slowly change the shape of cars forever, culminating in the present, where the SUV has become a kind of modern station wagon for every occasion. Land Rover marks 50th anniversary Range Rover with the Range Rover Fifty model, limited edition to 1,970 units.
Recognized by the special Autobiography wraps, the Fifty adds black exterior accents and two new 22-inch wheel designs. Four exterior colors are available, with three "extremely limited" additional colors created by the team, or taken over from the original Range Rover palette, and include - Tuscan Blue, Bahama Gold and Davos White. It's under the hood V8 with 518 horsepower. You can expect the collectible Range Rover in showrooms by the end of 2020.
