Reading rituals that will make you more productive

Reading has such a wide range of effects that a mere enumeration could fill the volume of an article. That's why this time we'll stop at just one, namely how reading the news can improve productivity. Unfortunately, during the week, time rarely allows us to take our eyes on a long wander over the "letter levels" (read the pages), so here we advise you how to start reading so that it delivers as much of the desired information as possible.

If we had time to spare, we would probably read a lot more, but unfortunately I don't always have that luxury, so we can't be all the way through up to date with everything we want. Accept that you don't know everything

You will never be able to read everythinga. Imagine wanting to take a full breather Work. You would have to work a whole "shift" for that! We're sure you can't afford it, so don't even try. If you read our biggest newspapers, then chances are you've dabbled in more at some point local waters (read publications) that break stories that are closer to you more and more often. The effectiveness of daily newspaper reading therefore does not mean that all the time you are extracting information from the same source, but to pick up one with a different editorial policy at least once a week. This will give width your behavior and a more detailed picture.

Level up your business knowledge during your breaks

We all have at least a few slots of time every day that are not yet busy. Most then bury themselves in e-mail or browse on social networks. Instead, make a selection of three blogs or publications, that specialize in your industry. If you do not "subdue" him within five minutes, postpone the "execution" to the next hole.

Skip the mornings

Saturday and Sunday mornings that's what they call turning the pages of the newspaper, but the fact is that the rest of the week won't start that way. The advantage of digital time is that you don't have to breaking news you wait until the next morning or until the evening diary. Therefore, refresh your behavior when you are e.g. at work the least productive (if you have that freedom). Reading it is quite a lot passive activity and therefore food for mental or physical "excitement". Of course, there is one for this advice exception namely if you go to work by train or bus. Then a morning reading ritual is the best possible use of time.

Read before bed

But you know the one longer article, which you saved during the day? Now is the time to tackle it. Make this kind of reading part of your habit, yours default activity, which takes up the time when you could be doing anything else. It might television it seems more tempting, but reading will help you to sleep relax. Certainly more than some show or series, which is otherwise the content equivalent of bound letters.
