Recipe: homemade coffee ice cream

Ice cream is an indispensable companion on hot summer days. Although it can be enjoyed all year round, it is best enjoyed on hot summer days. During these days, we prepare various homemade ice creams, as we can add different ingredients to it and prepare it according to our taste and preferences. This time we have a recipe for making homemade coffee ice cream for you.

Coffee ice cream

Ingredients

  • 350 ml of milk
  • 350 ml of sweet cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 120 g of sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 250 ml of coffee

Directions

  1. Heat the milk and cream. Mix the yolks with sugar and salt. Slowly add the heated milk and cream and mix.
  2. Pour everything back into the bowl and cook over low heat for a few minutes until the mixture thickens and starts to stick to a wooden spoon.
  3. Remove from heat and add a cup of coffee. Wait for it to cool, then put the ingredients into the ice cream maker.
  4. If you don't have an ice cream maker, simply beat heavy cream and sugar until you get the consistency of whipped cream. Then mix it into sweetened condensed milk. Add the coffee and pour the mixture into an airtight plastic container and freeze for an hour. Then take the ice cream out of the freezer every hour and stir it. Repeat this process at least four times. Then leave it untouched in the freezer for another two hours before serving.
