Ingredients

  • 500 g plain flour
  • 80 g of butter
  • 200 ml of lukewarm milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bag of instant yeast
  • 10 g of salt
  • 150g diced or grated ham
  • 200 g of cheese
  • extra virgin olive oil and oregano to taste

Directions

  1. Sieve the flour through a sieve.
  2. You don't need to activate the instant kvass beforehand, but if you want, set aside a small amount of lukewarm milk, add a little sugar, salt and flour and wait for the kvass to activate.
  3. Add the flour and salt to the bowl and make a well.
  4. You add activated yeast or just shake the contents of the instant yeast.
  5. Add lukewarm milk, melted butter and eggs.
  6. Mix the mixture until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough. Add a little flour if necessary.
  7. Put the dough in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, and leave to rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  8. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to 1 cm thick. Using a pastry cutter or a cup, cut out circles about 8 cm in diameter. Then cut a hole in the middle.
  9. Place the donuts on a tray, brush with a little olive oil and place in a warm place. 10. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Spread the donuts with tomato paste or pizza ketchup, sprinkle with cheese, ham and oregano.
  11. Bake at 200 degrees for about 13-15 minutes without opening the oven.
