Salmon is a fantastic fish that is full of valuable oils. It's a really versatile ingredient, and it's amazing both raw, fried, baked, smoked or pickled. Due to its delicate texture, salmon is the champion among fish, as it can be prepared in different ways.
Salmon in lemon sauce
Ingredients
- 4 salmon steaks
- 1 lemon
- 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 3 tablespoons of chopped mint
- 1 tablespoon chopped shallots
- 1 tablespoon of chopped chili
- 1 chopped garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon of wine vinegar
- 5 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil – 3/4 teaspoon of salt
Directions
- Cut the lemon in half and remove the pips. Squeeze one half into a small bowl and cut the other half into smaller slices.
- Add lemon slices to the bowl with the squeezed juice. Then add parsley, mint, chili, garlic, vinegar, 4 1/2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/4 salt.
- Dry the salmon steaks with a paper towel. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan. Place the salmon steaks on the pan. Gently press the salmon with a food processor to drain and release the juices, and season with 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Grill the steaks for about eight minutes, until the skin is crispy and the salmon is browned around the edges.
- Turn the steaks over and sprinkle with salt. Bake for another two minutes.
- Transfer the steaks to a plate and drizzle with the lemon and spice mixture.
- Serve immediately.
