In addition to the fact that this simple pastry can be prepared by anyone, even the most novice in the kitchen, it also has certain health benefits.
And what a vegan one chocolate cake? What does it contain?
bananas, which are one of the main ingredients of the cake, contain protein, fiber, which is important for gut health, and potassium (a mineral that helps regulate fluid levels in the body, maintains normal blood pressure, digests carbohydrates, and much more).
Peanut butter. Two tablespoons contain a whopping seven grams of plant-based protein, 1.5 grams of fiber, and about 16.5 grams of fat, most of which includes oleic acid, a type of monounsaturated fat that is heart healthy.
It also contains vitamin E and polyphenols, which are important for maintaining the immune system. Cacao is the main player in this recipe – it's also rich in minerals, including magnesium, iron, zinc and potassium, and is a good source of protein, fiber and healthy fats. You can eat this pastry for a snack or breakfast, and it is definitely a much better and healthier choice than store-bought sweets.
Banana Peanut Butter Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe - No Flour
Vegan chocolate cake
Ingredients
- 3 bananas
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
Directions
- Put the peeled bananas in a bowl and mash them with a fork. Add peanut butter and cocoa powder. Mix well and knead to get a soft firm mixture.
- Cover the baking tray with baking paper. Put the mixture on it and bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- Leave the pastry to cool, and if you wish, you can sprinkle it with melted chocolate or another topping if you want extra sweetness.
- Cut into cubes and have a good run!
