The Frankfurt Motor Show served up another treat, this time much more accessible to us mere mortals. The new Renault Megane RS is more aggressive than ever and also hides more under the hood than ever before. One of the most exciting "hot hatches" in the C segment now has a new engine, and for the first time in history it is possible to choose between manual or automatic transmission.
New ones Renault Megane RS represents the sportiest version of Renault's sedan in the C segment. The big news is the new one 1.8 liter turbo engine, which replaces the old 2-liter turbo. The new engine provides 280 horsepower, and we can choose for him 6-speed manual gearbox or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with presentation levers next to the steering wheel and the option "launch control". If you want even more power, wait until the end of next year. At that time, the Megane RS will be brought to us in the Trophy version, which offers 300 horsepower.
However, all this power must somehow be transferred to the road, which is especially challenging for front-wheel-drive cars. For this reason, Megane RS is introducing four wheel steering and will be available with two different chassis setups Cup and Sports. There will be a choice 5 driving profiles, which will make the Megane RS much easier to use in everyday situations. With a bunch of assistance systems, the Megane RS will be a solid everyday car. He will take to the roads in the spring of next year, which means car enthusiasts can already start salivating.
