Report: Record attendance and unforgettable concerts at the INmusic festival

INmusic, which pulsated in the heart of Zagreb's Jarun lake from Monday, June 23, until Thursday morning, served excesses that completely overshadowed some less pompous trifles, and delighted the most adventurous fans of perfectly selected music with a mud bath.

Although many of us were worried about the weather forecast, after arriving at INmusic festival, who already experienced this year ninth performance, the slight nervousness completely dissipates. It is clear that we all have three carefree days waiting for us, full of youthful craziness, festival bustle that will remain in the memory for a long time after returning home, and unique musical experiences. Around 70 thousand visitors, as announced by the organizers, it is so med June 23 and 25, some only for an evening or two, consumed a full dose of a wide variety of musical genres.

The festival was opened on the main stage Jam Ritual, unique The Fratellis, Crystal Fighters, Foas and others were heard from the Island of Youth in Jarun to the neighboring Island of Trešnjevka, where residents of CampIN, which this year got its first place on the island for the first time, stepped on 100-meter-long catwalks specially made for the festival. "We arrived already on Sunday, we will stay until the end, as long as the camp is open, six days. We have a couple of tents by the beach, it's great because we can swim, and the music is good," said Sarah from Austria, who was most looking forward to the second day's program. Undoubtedly, it stood out as excellent and highly anticipated duo The Black Keys, in front of which the younger audience crowded in the first row, while the older ones listened with pleasure to a crowd of several thousand for a good hour and a half long concert, and even before that they kept up the pace Gattuso and Flogging Molly, who threw a real Irish party in Zagreb the day before the concert in Slovenia, Wolfmother, Bombay Bicycle Club, and from the home ranks, accompanied by the Slovenian national anthem, ours also presented itself N'toko.

With good food and rain on the last day

If we didn't have something delicious to snack on during the concert of our favorite band, after the concert we stood in a long line of hungry mouths in front of stands with wok noodles, Mexican taquitos, čevapčići, hot dogs and other foods that are most desired at midnight. But we easily used this time to chat, relive the concert feelings, and many were tempted by the other dancing and relaxing corners. Jaka from Ljubljana, who spent all three days of the festival in the car with his girlfriend, was enthusiastic about the Silent Party in the INteatre, while another friend from our area enjoyed the Balkan Party in the bus from the movie scene Ko to tamo peva during the night rain.

The rainy final day of the festival seems to have kept a few away, either due to flooding in the tent or because they had nothing to do during the day. It wasn't exactly summer warm either, but the weather took a little pity on us and the rain subsided. Thus, many visitors took advantage of the mud for fun or for the indispensable photography of ankles with muddy shoes, which were shared on various social networks. On the Hidden Stage, this path of Slovenian color was represented The Canyon Observer and Your Gay Thoughts, which the audience was a little less favorable to, and above all they were overshadowed by big music names. Namely, the main stage belonged to a band dressed in writing MGMT and shiny Pixies, who announced that we will see each other again next year.

Of course, what is in store for the round tenth anniversary is not yet known, however - if, as this year, an unforgettable atmosphere will be provided at at least nine venues, among which the electrified dance reverie in Šuma Striborova's grove and the Nissan Juke Box stood out, on which was thrice a day hummed by a group of hippies Dukes Box, squeezed into a small van and played covers, we'll definitely see each other in a year.
