Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic: a radical upgrade of the smart watch

The new generation of Samsung's Galaxy Watch4 smart watches brings a completely new operating system, a new user interface, improved hardware and a comprehensive set of health monitoring functions.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic herald a new era in the development of Samsung's smart watches. The watches from the Watch4 series are the first Samsung smartwatches that will have a completely Nov operative system Wear OS Powered by Samsung, developed by Samsung in collaboration with Google. Also, the intuitive user interface of the Watch UI has been modified and refined. Thanks to the updated hardware, the watches offer a smoother and more connected user experience, and thanks to the new design, they offer users a better tool to monitor their well-being.

The novelty of the Galaxy Watch4 smart watch also features an innovative BioActive sensor. Compared to its predecessor, it has a smaller and more compact design, which does not affect the accuracy of the measurement. The new 3in1 sensor uses a single chip that precisely manages three health monitoring sensors. We have an optical heart rate monitor, an electrical heart rate monitor and a bioelectrical resistance analyzer. The new body composition measurement tool gives users a deeper understanding of their overall health, skeletal muscle status, basal metabolic rate, and body water and fat percentage. Just by using two fingers, the advanced sensor will capture 2,400 data points and in everything 15 seconds.

The Galaxy smartwatch platform features simplicity, lightness and efficiency. Thanks to Samsung's all-new One UI Watch user interface and the Wear OS Powered by Samsung operating system, the experience and connectivity between the smartwatch and Galaxy devices will become even more pleasant. The One UI Watch user interface takes care of automatically installing applications on the watch that the user has previously installed on the connected mobile phone. They will also immediately synchronized functions such as Do Not Disturb and, for example, the list of blocked callers. The Auto Switch feature allows the Galaxy Buds2 to exchange audio with a smartwatch and a mobile phone, depending on usage. There is Bixby voice control, control using the bezel or control with gestures. If you move your forearm up and down twice, you will accept the call, and if you rotate your wrist twice, you will reject the call or turn off warnings and alarms.

All these improvements and changes would not be possible without a noticeable hardware upgrade. The improved processor, richer screen and expanded memory will contribute to an even better user experience of the Galaxy Watch4 series. The Watch4 series is Samsung's first smartwatch to use 5nm processor, which has 20% faster processing unit and it has 50% more internal memory. The graphics processor is just fine compared to the previous generation ten times faster. The screen resolution is awarded at 450 by 450 pixels, which makes the image even more distinct and sharp. 16GB of internal memory provides enough space to download and store favorite applications, music and photos.

Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic will be on sale from August 27 onwards. Both have slimmer cases than previous generations, and will also feature customizable dials and interchangeable straps that can be purchased separately. Galaxy Watch4 will be available in size 40- and 44-millimeter and will be available from 369.90 euros for Bluetooth version and from 419.90 euros for the LTE model. At launch, the 40mm version will be available in black, silver and rose gold, while the larger 44mm version will be available in black, silver and sophisticated green. You can perfectly combine the smart watch with the latest generation of Samsung smartphones with collapsible screens and the latest generation of Samsung headphones Galaxy Buds2.
