Slovenian short films that celebrated at MUVIT/6X60 2016

In the movie business, 60 hours is practically nothing. In the MUVIT/6X60 short filmmaking marathon, however, that's all you have to write, shoot, edit and deliver a 6- to 8-minute film. At the third edition of the MUVIT/6X60 (2016) marathon, especially young people shone, who managed to create real little masterpieces in 60 hours. The best four films can be seen below.

The third short film making marathon MUVIT/6×60 was hosted by Novo mesto this year. It was contested 24 teams from all over Slovenia and all of them managed to deliver the film they set out to and in which they had to be included three guidelines the organizer (these teams drew lots and were tied to a subject, an action and a sentence). You can see the winning films below.

Winning Slovenian short films at MUVIT/6X60 2016:

1st place: Because of Eva

The first place went to the team of the coastal director Jan Krevatin and his film Because of Eve, which talks about the problems of growing up and facing one's own image. With a convincing performance, the actor Mak Tepšič also earned a special mention from the expert jury.

2nd place: Alterego

The jury awarded the second place to the creepy film Alterego or to the Anamorphic film crew. It also won the special award of the host city, because "the film with the most mature visual image and cinematic language perfectly captures the locations of Novi Sad and shows them with a sharp eye as an extraordinary film scenery", Miha Knific accompanied the decision.

3rd place: Dashboard

Third place went to the Noname Pictures team with the film Control Panel. "With modern film language and editing, the film convincingly sends us into the world of urban adrenaline games. It flirts with the sociological meaning of manipulation in today's society and raises the question of who is in charge," the jury explained the award.
