It features a compressed hourglass shape that sets it apart from other speakers as it has a unique acoustic architecture and array of speakers to deliver surround sound. The Era 300 features a center driver for vocals and lead instruments, two custom drivers for full-room coverage, two side-mounted woofers, an upward-firing tweeter to bounce sound off the ceiling, and a custom waveguide for improved sound dispersion and an expansive soundstage. Surround sound is the core Era 300 with six speakers (four tweeters and two woofers) that fire sound in different directions to create an immersive, room-filling experience. The Era 300 is designed to work flawlessly with Dolby Atmos and is the first non-Apple device capable of playing surround sound recordings Apple Music. It also supports Dolby Atmos Music via Amazon Music Unlimited, with the ability to add more partners and listening options in the future.In terms of connectivity, Era 300 offers Wi-Fi (courtesy of WiFi 6) and Bluetooth capabilities in a non-portable Sonos speaker for the first time, using Bluetooth 5.0 with support for AAC and SBC codecs.
