The Porsche 911, as a strictly limited special model, will be released in honor of the Porsche Design subsidiary. The 50th anniversary is also accompanied by the release of a watch designed to match the sports car. Nice set!
There are only 750 examples of the new Porsche 911, many of which resemble the iconic designs of Ferdinand Alexander (FA) Porsche. For example, the deep black appearance of the car was chosen deliberately: “Black was the color of the first Porsche Design product, the Chronograph I. That is why we chose this color for our edition model. The platinum accent color enhances the black paintwork in a similar way that chrome details used to be done," says Roland Heiler, Managing Director and Chief Designer at Design Studio FA Porsche.
Anniversary model with black Sport-Tex trim, adjustable 18-way sports seats as standard and a sub-seconds clock on the dashboard – technically equivalent to the 911 Targa 4 GTS. You'll be able to buy it in April 2022, but you'll have to be lucky, as special editions are known to remain reserved for the select few. However, this limited sports car can be ordered from 185,606 euros.

As an additional highlight for all fans of sports and classic cars, Porsche is also presenting the renewed 911 S 2.4 Targa model from 1972, when Porsche Design was founded. This unique example will be auctioned at Sotheby's online auction in New York in late 2022 – along with the watch.

Speaking of the watch: the Chronograph 1 in the jubilee design is also available in combination with a limited edition sports car. The limited edition number is engraved on the case back so that the Porsche 911 and the watch with its bilingual date display and modern Porsche Design logo clearly belong together. Inside is a COSC-certified Porsche Design caliber and a flyback mechanism that allows you to stop, reset and start successive time intervals in a single operation.
