Although there are only two trailers behind us and there are many more interesting tidbits waiting for us in the next 240 days and a few more, which will lead us to the premiere Star Wars - The Force Awakens On December 18, 2015, several dances have already fallen. So let's take a look at everything we already know about the new Star Wars movie.

This is the main villain

Main villain- Kylo Ren.

Forget Darth Vader, here's Kylo Ren, the man (or lady) with the controversial "cross" lightsaber with a horizontal bar. We don't know much more than what he looks like and, from what we've seen in the trailer, he has ties to the old Empire, and we don't even know if he's filled Vader's shoes.

Stormtroopers in new clothes

The Imperial Stormtrooper army has new clothing. With the new "uniforms", she did not jump into something completely different, as she does not look that much different than before, but the cosmetic change is still very welcome.

The first trailer is still exciting

It has already been viewed by over 77 million people, which is only 1.07 billion fewer than the video for Justin Bieber's song Baby. Did we ever say that there is justice in this world?!

The cast is made up of old favorites and newcomers

It has been known for some time that John Boyega (Jedi), Daisy Ridley (daughter of Han or Leia), Adam Driver (villain), Oscar Isaac (Han Solo-esque character), Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow will join the original star cast of the saga, i.e. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. Some newcomers are truly blank slates as far as movie roles go, and those clean-cut beards will likely play characters like Leia, Han, and Luke when they were kids.

From the first wave of applications until today, quite a few names have accumulated on the list. Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie and Billie Lourd (Carrie Fisher's daughter), and Jessica Henwicj, James McCardle, Tony Bailey and Sam Carr are also expected to be there. With these, we can already connect the characters, while those unknowns remain for Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Christina Chong, Miltos Yerolemou, Greg Grunberg, Warwick David, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, Cecept Arif Rahman, Amybeth Hargreaves and Leanna Best.

The robot droid will be named BB-8

As Mark Hamill himself confided to us, the robot droid is a remote-controlled robot, but it is not a CGI creature, i.e. computer animation. This coincides with a statement from Rhian Johnson, who says that director JJ Abrams will also use old school. The problem with animation is that in too many scenes, we say goodbye to the laws of physics and the scenes become "too massive" too quickly. And speaking of special effects...

Star Wars - The Force Awakens will not only be a festival of computer animation

Yoda will be more natural this time.
Yoda will be more natural this time.

One of the main observations of George Lucas' prequel trilogy was the sad image of some of the animated characters. Yoda looked downright ridiculous, the battles like something you'd pick up from a video game, and even the spaceships didn't look natural. Thankfully, Abrams and company are aware of the pitfalls of computer animation. In the new sequel, more practical effects will be used. This means a combination of real locations and special effects, real models and real droids. They will take advantage of creations that you can actually touch and feel, making the animation real.

The music for the film will be composed by John Williams

Pretty good news, if we remember that he did his job quite well the first time.

Episode VIII and spin-offs are already in the works

Rian Johnson will take the helm of Episode VIII.

The next date that Star Wars fans should mark on their calendars is May 26, 2017. That's when Episode VIII hits theaters. Rian Johnson (Looper) will direct the eighth part of the saga, which will take place 40 years and a day after A New Hope. Even earlier, at the time of Christmas in 2016, a treat awaits us in the form of a spin-off - Rogue One by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) with Felicity Jones. Another derivative will be overseen by Josh Trank (Chronicle, Fantastic Four).

The story

Not much is known about the official story yet, so most of the scenarios that have emerged are mere speculation.

Of course, there are already quite a few potential versions of the story floating around, but since we don't mean to spoil the element of surprise, check out the potential scenarios at your own risk. Let's just say that it takes place 30 years after the Battle of Endor and that Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and his apprentice Darth Vader are dead. You already knew that, right?
