Starlink Mini is SpaceX's latest internet solution that promises to connect our world more than ever before. It contains a compact satellite dish and Wi-Fi router in a weatherproof device that is much smaller and consumes less power than previous Starlink kits. About the size of a laptop and powered by a 100W (20V/5A) USB-PD portable battery, the Starlink Mini promises Internet connectivity even in the most remote locations. From domestic subscribers to digital nomads
Initially, the Starlink Mini was only available as an add-on for current US residential subscribers. But now, my dear travelers, it is available for everyone! Yes, even for us who live in vans, on sailboats or in small cabins in the middle of the forest. Finally, we can work anywhere, anytime, without worrying about the internet connection causing gray hairs.
Affordable options for everyone
The Starlink Mini hardware costs $599 / about €600 and comes in two different services: Regional and Mini Roam. Regional costs $150 per month for unlimited data in North America, with the option to pay per GB for use while on the move. Mini Roam, on the other hand, is only $50 per month, but is limited to 50GB of mobile or roaming data on the mainland, with additional data charged by the GB. Both services can be paused during adventures. And they are quite flexible models.
