A studio on 20 square meters works better than you can imagine

The art studio on 20 square meters allows maximum use of space. Custom-made furniture provides enough space to create, store work tools, hang out with friends or sleep on the folding bed hidden in the corner behind the sliding door. Undoubtedly a good architectural solution that also works visually.

Israeli architect Ryan Stern and Shany Tal have newly transformed 20 square meters large apartment in versatile artistic workspace. The customizable interior features a diverse family and personal collection of 2D pieces from the 1940s to the present, which were specifically made to store items. Every single piece of furniture was made custom made and sorted by group, size and style. Each individual cell, drawer or cabinet is custom made, but when the drawers are opened, the sides are beautifully revealed a mosaic of pastel colors.

In addition, individual pieces of furniture were made for the presentation or storage of work, tools and accessories. You can take the smaller drawers out of the larger ones and place them on the table. The sliding door is designed as a pallet and can be stood up and used as a presentation board or easel.

Cabinets and other elements are made of light birch wood and they match nicely with the floor in the same color. The brightness of the room is further emphasized by the light color of the wood, which gives a pleasant feeling of comfort. Despite its small size, the room retains the organic appearance of natural materials. The owner of the studio can also use the space to hang out with friends or spend the night in the studio, as it hides behind a sliding door in the corner folding bed, which can be pulled out and used as needed.
