The Finnish brand Suunto has introduced its latest Suunto Ocean smartwatch, designed for lovers of diving and other water sports. Suunto Ocean boasts premium features including a decompression planner, underwater tracking and incredible battery life.

If you are a fan of swimming, diving or snorkeling, it is Suunto Ocean the perfect waterproof companion. Available in black, steel black and sand, the new “dive watch” offers a 1.43-inch AMOLED display in a glass fiber reinforced polyamide housing and a stainless steel frame. It weighs only 99 grams, which makes it ideal for all types of underwater activities, including technical diving.
The Ocean includes a decompression planner thanks to the Suunto Bühlmann 16 GF and is compatible with the Suunto Tank POD, a wireless sensor that shows the remaining air in the tank. The watch allows you to customize diving safety alarms that include audio and vibration options. For added safety, there are also alarms for rapid ascent, violation of the decompression ceiling and high pO2.
Suunto Ocean it is not only a diving watch but also a powerful multi-sport watch with over 95 sports modes including running, cycling and hiking. Fitness features include heart rate monitoring, accurate sleep tracking, recovery meters and step tracking. It also offers features for outdoor activities such as GNSS satellite maps, barometer, altimeter and offline maps.
The new Suunto Ocean appears to be an upgrade from the previous D5 model. Both have water resistance up to 100m and the same underwater capabilities. However, the Ocean brings improvements such as GPS functionality and exceptional battery life, which is limited to 6 days on the D5.
