The T-shirt remains an iconic piece of clothing

From US Marines, former movie stars, to today, the T-shirt has become an indispensable piece of clothing for all generations. T-shirts adapt to the times we live in, follow current culture and fashion trends. They can be found on the street (streetstyle) and in high fashion. They tell us something with inscriptions or we wear them more unnoticed. They express opinions, shout, or withdraw into their own world. They can be worn washed, worn or pulled from your grandfather's wardrobe.

The history of the shirt dates back to the year 1913, when it became a mandatory part of the equipment US Marines, but later it also appeared in the American army as a comfortable undergarment. Due to its comfortable wear, lightness, pleasant material and short sleeves, it has also made its way among other professions, such as shipbuilders, farmers and miners. Due to the nature of working in closed and hot spaces, tight and uncomfortable clothes made of itchy wool have been mistaken by many for simple cotton shirt. This garment appears as part of the unofficial uniform. It has been so called since 1920 T-shirt becomes an official American-English word in Merriam-Webster's dictionary.

The T-shirt has moved from the movie to the streets and in combination with jeans meant a symbol for free dressing and sexual attractiveness. For several decades, the T-shirt was dominated in white, but due to its simple cut and light construction, it soon began its mass production. In the 1950s, T-shirts were first equipped with prints and inscriptions, who followed the current fashion trends and spirit of the times.
