The table tennis of the future: when tradition meets modern architecture

French architects and designers from the Exercise studio, in their desire to reinterpret table tennis, joined forces with the leisure equipment manufacturer NEDJ. This is how a collection of alternative tables was created, which make the game even more fun and strategically oriented.

The first series of the release of such equipment is called "Ping-pong 2.0" and contains four tables in one with official names "rebound", "golf", "trio" and "tournaments", all with a renewed colorful look and various design features that require players to think about a new way of playing table tennis.

One of the tables is called "rebound", which has a distinctly futuristic look. It has wide and shallow dimensions, which makes the table technically suitable for short and low ball passes. If you want to hit the spot in the middle and predict where the ball will bounce, you need to think carefully about how you will put your opponent in trouble.

Another table named "golf table" it has an unusual curved surface, its shape tapers in the middle to prevent the ball from bouncing if it is not aimed at the center. Two holes on each side of the table allow hitting the ball into the hole to count as a winning point.

If you're ready for something more, it's for you "trio table" as it allows you to play not with one but with two opponents. The table has three squares, which means that you will have to be even more clever in thinking and competing to win.

The last but not least version of the table tennis table is "tournament table", where the surface is round. This is a well-designed table where multiple competitors can play. The goal is to return the ball to the other side of the table without it falling to the ground. All the corners of the table are rounded, which also enables very safe movement around the table.

All versions of these wooden tables are designed to be easy to assemble and disassemble thanks to a simple system that does not require any tools. The lightest table, made of durable materials, weighs about 30 kilograms, and the heaviest does not exceed 45 kilograms.
