The urban culture center Kino Šiška celebrates its 8th birthday on September 22. This year's celebration will take place under the direction of the current biggest domestic musical phenomenon, the controversial collective Matter, which with the premiere presentation of its eagerly awaited second album, Mrk, is returning to where it all began - in Šiško, where it performed live for the first time as part of the Tresk festival.

American musician Chan Marshall, better known in the music world as Cat Power, will perform in Slovenia for the first time on September 10, 2016. In 1994, Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth) and Tim Foljahn (Two Dollar Guitar) discovered the then-unknown Marshall, which was performing as a support group for Liz Phair. Over the next two years, Marshall released albums Dear Sir and Myra Lee with Steve and Tim.
