Last year we faced (and still face) global problems and met quite a few controversial political figures whose stories were captured by filmmakers in documentaries. The 21st Documentary Film Festival 2019 will hold up a mirror to society, namely the competition program on the topic of human rights will focus on the acute problems of the modern world, which are often pushed aside by the media and society. In addition to films with a strong message, the creators and organizers of the festival also prepared workshops, seminars, lectures, talks and programs for young people and children.
Mountains, nature and adventure are calling for the mountain film festival, which will start its thirteenth edition in style - with the screening of the most desired film of this year, Free Solo, at three venues at the same time, in Ljubljana, Celje and Radovljica. In these three places and also in Domžale, visitors will be able to watch 32 films about alpinism, climbing, adventure, mountain nature and culture, and in Ljubljana there will be six more lectures, a book presentation and a round table.
LIFFE, Ljubljana's largest international film festival, will once again bring together numerous Slovenian and foreign productions this year.
