The other athletes also achieve historic results and delight the Slovenians every day, who enthusiastically cheer for each and every one of them in front of the television screens.
The winter hockey classic is returning to Ljubljana, as Olimpija's hockey players are waiting for four outdoor games between December 14 and 18, as part of the Union IceFest Brewery on the renovated Republic Square in front of the Temple of Democracy, which 4,500 spectators will be able to watch. For two months, the rink will also be available for recreational use.
After most have already put away their winter equipment for this season, the peak of the season is just beginning for hockey players. The national playoffs are being played, and there are only a good three weeks to go until the start of the 2015 elite division world championship in ice hockey, which will once again be Slovenian in color. The competition, this time hosted by the Czech Republic, starts on Labor Day, May 1 in Ostrava, with the second venue being the capital Prague. The grand final will take place on May 17.

The Ice Trophy 2020, a fun sports day for skating and outdoor hockey fans, is moving to the idyllic Jasna lake in Kranjska Gora. The central event of the day-long program is the triples tournament of amateur and club hockey players, who will fight for the 2020 ice trophy and bragging rights on January 15.
