Border Mover is a Slovenian pneumatic video installation that crosses the border between physical and digital. Behind the project stands an accomplished artistic tandem consisting of academic painter Nika Oblak and academic painter Primož Novak. They presented their project, quite different from most, on Kickstarter, where they collect funds for further development.
Valérie Wolf Gang's video installation shows the human species as the central creature in reversed roles. Like in a real zoo.
Cate Blanchett is such a good movie actress that she can change personas like shirts. This is proven in the film installation Manifesto, in which he plays 13 different roles, through which he represents different artistic movements.
Artist and designer Florent Albinet has set up an interesting installation in the middle of the La Juine lazy river in the Domaine de Chamarande in the French city of Essonne, a mini-tower with a lifting mechanism, the top of which can be reached by pedaling. Offering a new perspective on the picturesque surroundings, Gabie's 6-meter winch tower will be open to the public until November 1, 2015.
Christo Guelov, a Bulgarian visual and conceptual artist who lives in Madrid, is famous for his rather unusual installations, at least at first glance. His last "intervention" took place in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, where he painted the Älvsborg bridge in very special shades. Children will recognize them in no time.
Rune Guneriussen is an installation artist. He places everyday objects in remote Norwegian landscapes and thus conjures up a real fairy tale in which even 'hard' objects come to life.
Random passers-by were greeted by an unusual scene on Hagerman Street in Toronto. Luzinterruptus, an anonymous art group from Spain, which is famous for interventions in public spaces (similar to our Prostoroževka), covered the street with ten thousand books!
Have you ever wanted to see the moon and stars here, among us, on Earth? Now is your chance. Moonlith is a new monument in Ljubljana that reflects the sky. On its surface, the moon's moon and constellations of stars are displayed, while at the same time the Moonlith responds to the people around it with subtle sounds.
After a successful one-month tour at Trg Republike in December 2015, Moonolith is moving to Ljubljana Castle on March 21. The interactive installation, which is different every time it is set up, will thus bring the moon and the stars right among us.
More than 25,000 colorful paper flowers adorn the 6-meter-high atrium of a shopping mall in Omotesando, Tokyo. The visually stunning scene is part of the latest installation by French-born Emmanuelle Moureaux, who created this vibrant work as part of the Setting the Future in Motion exhibition.
The dream of floating effortlessly high in the sky has finally become a sweet reality. Namely, the artist Tomás Saraceno created the installation "In Orbit", which makes it possible to walk in the air as high as 25 meters.
"Today we live with the awareness that an art object can be anything and an artist can be anyone," said academic sculptor Marjan Drev. Like him, we also disagree with this, although today there are no more boundaries, because if art can be a snow shovel and a urinal, art can be anything! The latest such example is a scene from the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, where teenagers secretly placed glasses on the floor, and visitors mistook them for an art installation and reacted as expected. No, they didn't get angry, but rather tried to immerse themselves in this "artistic" work, and some of them even enthusiastically photographed the "work".
