Tata Motors, which oversees the Jaguar Land Rover duo among others, has unveiled the latest concept of the all-new Tata Avinya electric car. The concept boasts so-called "suicide doors", eye-catching headlights and enviable technology.
The Indian car manufacturer Tata presented a nice concept Daddy Avinya, which depicts Tata's electric-car ambitions. The name comes from the Sanskrit language and translates to mean innovation. Certainly appropriate, given that the car has been developed completely from scratch and will serve as the basis for future Tate electric cars. Avinya is an attractive concept with short overhangs, which is actually a trademark of electric cars. It is a newly developed platform that will only serve electric cars. Technical data is scarce at the moment, but it is known that the battery will be powerful enough to be less than 30 minutes charging, had enough energy for up to 500 kilometers a long way.
In terms of shape, Avinya is more like a minivan than the recently popular crossovers. For the sake of the so-called "suicide door", there is no need for a B-pillar and, as is customary for concepts, larger rims were installed on it. The headlamps display the Tata logo and the taillights create a floating feel. Conventional side mirrors replaced cameras, and the almost flat roof ensures a spacious interior.
The minimalistic cabin offers plenty of space, and thanks to the long wheelbase, there is plenty of legroom for passengers. In contrast to modern concepts brimming with digital screens, Avinya is without a central screen. We can see the screen on the steering wheel, which reminds us of futuristic steering wheel gaming consoles. Avinya will get a production successor by the year 2025, which will ride on Tata's GEN3 platform, intended only for electric cars.
