The digitization of the terrestrial television signal, which is also taking place in Slovenia, brings new possibilities for watching television programs. Thus, Garmin equipped one of the navigation devices - the nüvi 1490TV model - with a receiver for DVB-T television and radio. The new device has a screen with a diagonal of 12.7 centimeters, which makes it possible to comfortably follow reports, sports broadcasts or the latest series, both on the go and at home. Of course, the fear that the driver could watch TV while driving is superfluous, as they have built in a safety function that turns off TV playback while driving; then only navigation is possible, which is otherwise at the level of other garmins in terms of usability. The device also supports hands-free calling using Bluetooth technology.
