In 2024, Qatar takes the crown, with an airport known for its ultra-modern design and terminals so easy to navigate that your smartphone could handle them.
Singapore (SIN) held this title in 2023 and 2020, while it Doha (DOH) was the best in 2022 and 2021. Which is practically like passing the ball to the court of the best airports.
"We are extremely honored that passengers have chosen us as the best airport in the world," enthused Qatar Airways Group CEO, Badr Mohammed Al Meer. "We look forward to continuing to delight and surprise passengers by creating unforgettable travel experiences."
DOH, among other things, offers free city tours for passengers with long layovers, which clearly impressed them. They are also home to the Oryx Airport Hotel, where guests can experience the spa, squash or just swim in the 25-meter pool.
At the World Airport Awards, which took place April 17 in Frankfurt, published the results of a survey of travelers from more than 100 countries, collected between August 2023 and March 2024. They were asked about everything from going through security points to the quality of the food and beverage offerings.
