The Family Plan: When a family trip turns into an action comedy

"The Family Plan" is the story of Dan Morgan (played by Mark Wahlberg), who lives a quiet suburban life as a devoted husband and father of three children and a successful car salesman. But that's only half the story. Decades ago, Dan was an elite government assassin tasked with eliminating the world's most dangerous threats. When his past catches up with him and enemies from his past begin to follow in his footsteps, Dan embarks on an unexpected family trip across the country to Las Vegas to protect his family. His wife (played by Michelle Monaghan) and children, who know nothing about his true identity, are unexpectedly involved in this adventure.

Rated PG-13, “The Family Plan” combines action and comedy, a rare combination for family movies. The star-studded cast, which also includes Zoe Colletti, Van Crosby, Said Taghmaoui, Maggie Q and Ciaran Hinds, promises great performances. The film was directed by Simon Cellan Jones and written by David Coggeshall. The producers of the film are David Ellison and Dana Goldberg.
