The International Graphic Arts Center (MGLC) is hosting the exhibition Invader, Prints on Paper, which can be viewed until May 18, International Museum Day. The curator of the exhibition is Božidar Zrinski.

Invader is a world-renowned French street artist who is known primarily for his mosaics in the image of the famous alien, Invader. The artist has already covered many urban facades in cities around the world with a character he transferred from the first computer games.

Every city that is decorated with his artworks - invasions, he is also among them Ljubljana, belongs to the map of conquests, where all the mosaics are marked. Among other things, they got maps that can be a fun starting point for a trip the Tunisian island of Djerba, Paris, Ravenna, New York, Hong Kong. As many as 26 of them are on display at the Ljubljana exhibition. You can see his invasions in five short documentaries, where it is revealed that he even sent an alien character into space with the help of NASA.

This overview exhibition in Tivoli Castle is basically dedicated to Invader as a graphic artist and features over a hundred graphics. The colorful artwork is themed around both his famous square alien characters and classic works like them Mona Lisa, invasions of Munch's Scream, cult musicians such as David Bowie, and even more realistic images, in which he started from photos of his printed Vespa or his street interventions. A special section is dedicated Rubicubism. The concept, which is named after the famous Rubik's cube, is based on the fact that the artist created images from the world of music and cinema from the six colored squares of this cube.

As an interesting fact, we should add that it was one series of graphics printed right in the MGLC graphic studio in Tivoli Castle. There you can also see one of Invader's mosaics on the facade of the castle, and on the plinth of Marshal Radetzky is a work created especially for Ljubljana: Point of Invasion.
