The most anticipated films of the second half of 2019

The first half of the year is almost behind us, and we were able to see quite a few interesting films during it. But the films of 2019 are far from over. Which ones are the most difficult to expect?

Rocketman (2019)


The biographical story of the English musician Elton John will cover his beginnings as a talented beginner at London's Royal Academy of Music and show his career path to a world-famous star who created and collaborated with renowned songwriter, poet and singer Bernie Taupin.
The expected release of the film is May 30.

Late Night (2019)


Emma Thompson plays an obnoxious host of an evening entertainment program, and Mindy Kaling plays an idealistic writer who is also the only woman among the screenwriters. The odd couple is trying to raise the show from the average "white" level and prevent the cancellation of the program.
It is a cautious release of the film June 7.

The Sun Is Also a Star (2019)


While crossing the road in front of a crashing car, Natasha is saved by a stranger, with whom they soon become unexpectedly close. Meanwhile, as they slowly get to know each other, Natasha's days are numbered, as she does not have a formal permit to stay in the United States.
The expected release of the film is June 13.

Shaft (2019)


Jessie Usher will star in the third generation of the "black James Bond". He joins the Shafts who were here before them: his father (played by Samuel L. Jackson) and his grandfather (played by Richard Roundtree, the original Shaft). Together they want to discover who killed the youngest Shaft's best friend.
The expected release of the film is June 14.

Annabelle 3 (Annabelle Comes Home, 2019)


The Evil Summoned Cinematic Universe continues to spread its evil. This film – the third in the hugely successful Annabelle sub-franchise – takes place between The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 and follows paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they bring home a doll that soon begins to torment their desperate daughter.
The expected release of the film is July 4th.

Spider-Man: Far From Home (Spider-Man: Far From Home, 2019)


In the sequel to the 2017 film, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) goes on a European adventure where Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) recruits him to fight Mysterio (Jake Gyleenhaal).
It is a cautious release of the film July 4th.

The Lion King (2019)


In the heart of the African savanna, a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes his royal destiny to heart. But Scar, Mufasa's brother, has his own plans. The struggle for the throne begins, with the familiar treachery, drama and terrible tragedy. With the help of his friends, Simba must grow up quickly and earn what is rightfully his.
It is a cautious outcome July 18.

Fast & Furious presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)


The new installment of the Fast and Furious franchise will be dedicated to different locations this time. It is not a continuation, but a derivative, which will focus on the American security agent Luke Hobbs and his unusual alliance with Deckard Shaw.
It is a cautious release of the film August 1st.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, 2019)


The film is the story of a former star of television westerns (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime doppelgänger (Brad Pitt), who, during the murders of the infamous serial killer Charles Manson in 1969 in Los Angeles, embark on a journey to establish themselves in the film industry.
It is a cautious release of the film August 8.

It: Chapter Two (2019)


Evil visits the small town of Derry every 27 years, and so in the second chapter of the film This, we meet the characters from the first part, who today, almost 30 years after the original events, are adults. The losers' club thus brings together the fateful call. Will they defeat evil this time?
The expected release of the film is September 5.

Tolkien (2019)


The film depicts the most defining period of Tolkien's life (author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings). A young orphan thus discovers friendship, learns about love and artistic inspiration in a group of outcast classmates. In the world, however, the First World War begins, which threatens the group of friends.
It is a cautious release of the film September 12.

Star Wars: Episode IX (Star Wars: Episode IX, 2019)


The ultimate finale to the Skywalker saga and the last part of the trilogy, following The Force Awakens (2015) and The Last Jedi (2017), the story is set one year after the events of the latter.
The expected release of the film is December 19.
