It took a dozen years for Peter Bogdanovich, one of the most famous directors of his generation, to send a new film to the big screen. He broke his twelve-year fast with the sarcastic romantic comedy Tavalka pach je (She's funny that way), i.e. the genre with which he made his name with the films What's Up, Doc?, Paper Moon, They All Laughed and Noises Off.
The movie That's just the way it is leans into the genre situation comedies, which he mixes with a great deal of romance. The action is set in the director's hometown of New York, but all the attention is stolen by the excellent cast- Owen Wilson, Imogen Poots, Jennifer Aniston, Will Forte, Kathryn Hahn and Rhys Ifans.

The film brings the genre back to the golden age of Hollywood in the thirties and forties, which means that we have 90 minutes to wait Burka complications, wit and situation comedy coated with charm and sophistication. Fun guaranteed!
